So, I don't have much experience with this whole blogging shindig, but recently I have been trying to create a blogging website for my father. It's called MayoBlog. It's for the people of Mayo(that's a county in Ireland) to tell the world about Mayo and for the people of the world to tell Mayo about the world. I've been working on it for about 4 months now and well, I must say, I haven't gotten past the homepage. Now, you might say "ELbow, what's wrong with you? Blogging is easy." And I will immediately retaliate, "Poppycock!" It's not as simple as one, two, three. You have to consider the template, the visual appeal...what will the audience think?! I try to think of other blogs that have caught my eye but it's hard when you're so new to the scene.

Also, I find it difficult to find time to work on setting up the blog which makes me a little wary about promising my father that I will be able to monitor and update it. Actually, I'm hoping that posting on this blog will give me the incentive to continue working on Mayoblog and maybe even generate some ideas!
